Support Public Walkways by Walking Both Sides of the Hudson River on June 8th

FreeWalkers Press Release 5/24/13: Public is invited to join the 2nd annual “Hudson River Loop Walk” and be part of a 30-mile walk along public walkways. Walk the coastline from Jersey City to the GWB to the World Trade Center in a single day. Promote public trails and pedestrianism.

Hudson River Walkway Details

The Hudson River Waterfront Conservancy has been the driving force for the development of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway which covers the completed 12 miles or so from Exchange Place to Edgewater and then the 3 mile section of this trail that goes from Edgewater to the GWB along River Road (which is not yet complete).

We're asking all participants to arrive by 7:30 to take care of some early business before we start promptly at 8:00 a.m. Everyone should do the following as soon as possible after they arrive:

  • Get Bib Number - get a bib number and pins to pin somewhere visible on your short, pack or pants. This is useful to help identify walkers as time goes on and we spread out. You will have a unique number for this walk which will also will be used for picking the drawing prizes.
  • Sign Up - all walkers must sign the Sign Up sheet along with your Bib Number.
